Living the lottery

Almost two year ago and friend of mine sent me a link to play the lottery. Not the kind of lottery that gives you cash, but the one that gives you a green card to live in USA. I won. I chose San Francisco. Because I have a wonderful friend, who is helping me to start a new life here, because is by the sea, because the sun shines very often and because it felt good. I’m here now and I would like to share this experience with my friends and all those who wonder what it feels like to start over.

Young girl dressed for the Quinceañera

I was walking by the lake in Oakland when my attention was captured by this girl in bright colored clothes. I couldn’t understand what she was dressed for and then I learned about the Quinceañera. It is the celebration of a girl's fifteenth birthday in parts of Latin America. This birthday is celebrated differently from any other birthday, as it marks the transition from childhood to young womanhood.

My room for April

I moved to a new flat and I'm loving it. Sadly it's only till the end of the month. Luckily it's only the beginning of the month!

The last week of March

It has been an intense week. I went to lots of Meetup events, hikes, happy hours and a great trip to Oakland. I finally made some new friends. It’s a nice feeling.
